6:00      Dinner

6:45      Dress

7:00      Mav Walk

10:10     Game over

10:30     Pick up

 

October 5

 

Eat Breakfast before you come to the school. 

 

9:30      Band room opens

9:45      Football Practice Field

            Warm Up, Run through

12:20     Load trailer, Lunch that you brought

1:55      Band room dress in halves uniform

2:10      Leave for Rock Hill District Three Stadium – On Cherry Rd just past Winthrop University

2:45      Arrive

3:15      Warm Up

4:15      Performance!!

5:30      Dinner with Pit crew – This is everyone!

6:15      Watch Bands  

8:00      Awards Ceremony -

8:45      Leave for Home

9:30      MRHS Unload Trailer/Take Uniforms Off

10:00     Dismiss

 

Food and Souvenirs are available!!

 

What to Wear:

Full Band Uniform, black socks, black marching band shoes, Black show shirt, Black gloves (for winds only), Bibbers, Band Uniform Jacket, Color Guard outfit.  You may change out of your uniform except those who go on the field for awards. (You are welcomed to change and then change back if you want),Yes , plumes for awards.

Eat Breakfast before you come to school. 

9:45                    Stretch/Warm Up/Practice - FB Practice Field

1:00                     Load Truck/Eat Dinner/Dress in half uniform

2:40                     Half Uniform/ Band room

2:50                     Leave for Harrisburg – Hickory Ridge HS

3:35                     Arrive

4:15/4:50          Warm Up

5:45                     Competition Performance

6:45                     Change Clothes except for Awards Folks/ Lunch

8:45                     Awards –

9:45                     Leave Hickory Ridge HS

10:30                   Arriving at Marvin/30min. to unload

11:00                   Dismiss/Parent Pick up – Please be on time

 

What to Wear:

Full Band Uniform, black socks, black bibbers, black marching band shoes, black show shirt, Black gloves (for winds only), Color Guard outfit.  Bring a change of clothes for after we perform. Leadership will not be changing unless told to do so.  Also bring a jacket because the weather is starting to change at night and late afternoons. Leadership will not change until we get home. Bring money for concessions.

 

Things to remember:

  • This is a long day for everyone. Please be respectful of your peers and of the booster parents who have also given up their day to make it a successful trip.
  • We will have assigned buses for all students. Please use the changing rooms and be respectful of others as everyone changes in and out of uniform. DO NOT CHANGE ON THE BUS!!
  • You will need money for lunch/spending, so do not forget to bring a couple of dollars.

 

Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.

Great first couple of days. Band kids have worked really hard. The group is working well together. Staff is very impressed up to this point! WE are off to a great start. Come out next week and watch your kiddos at the end of rehearsals.
