How Does It Work?

We welcome you to consider joining the Marvin Ridge Band Mentorship Program! Through this program, our young musicians benefit from the added coaching of older, more experienced music students. Band members can also use this time for any service or scholarship hours you are looking to fill. High School Band Students can sign up to participate as a Mentor, assisting an individual or small group of 6th grade beginning band students who play the same or similar instrument during our Beginning Band class time!

Things to Know: 

• Time: Students will be able to complete this service directly after your school day from 3:15pm until 4:00pm on an afternoon of your choosing.
• Entry: There will be a roster kept in the front office, and our middle school office managers will have a badge for you on your assigned day! 
• First Semester Mentors will serve from September through December.
• Second Semester Mentors will serve from January through May

Finalized Details will be communicated via email to those who apply by:

• September 4th (1st semester mentors)
• January 8th (2nd semester mentors)
