Important Information! Please read all!

Great first couple of days.  Band kids have worked really hard.  The group is working well together.  Staff is very impressed up to this point! WE are off to a great start.  Come out next week and watch your kiddos at the end of rehearsals.

Please note the following important information

  • Bibber order form should already have been completed.  It is located on the blog post below.  All marchers (Not ColorGuard ) need to complete this ASAP
  • Marvin Ridge Marching Mavericks Summer Uniform


Our summer uniform will be used at the Parent Preview, first few football games, Matthews Alive Parade and as needed. It consists of a Show Shirt (which will be provided based on your Registration Form), shorts, white socks and ALL white tennis shoes.


To keep our group looking professional we ask that shorts be the same.  All are flat front shorts in DESERT KHAKI color.  Returning marchers should use shorts purchased the previous year as we have not changed styles.

Tennis shoes should be ALL white.  Several styles are available at Walmart in different price ranges.



  • The MRBB needs your help organizing this marching season. Parent Show Preview and Pot Luck Dinner on August 15 as well as Uniform Committe Chairperson and committee members ASAP.  Our First performance in Uniform is August 15 so we need help  NOW .  Also shoe fitting and glove ordering is in need.  Please Contact Eric Evans, MRBB President at
  • Prop Committee needs more members as we are getting started with the show props. Contact Eric Evans, MRBB President at 
  • Mandatory Parent meeting on August 13.  One parent from each family must attend.  Meet at 6:15 in the Auditorium, should take no longer than 1 hour.
  • DCI, Stonecrest Big Loud and Live is being held on Thursday August 8.  Tickets at the theater are limited.  Check the box office for Regal Stonecrest At Piper Glen if you'd like to attend.
  • Dinners are being served at some evening rehearsal days.  Sharon Meredith is Coordinating this effort and could use additional help in prepping, serving, setting and cleaning up.  Please come by and help feed your kids!  It's a great experience for everyone.  Parents, grandparents and siblings can help.  Please Contact Sharon Meredith at 
  • BAND APP is our communication device for instant messages and important information.  You should have received an email from Mrs. James with an invitation.  If you have not we DO NOT have your email address.  Please contact to receive another invitation and have your email included in our communications.  It is imperative that all students as well as one parent/guardian for each family be signed up for BAND APP.  This year we are happy to note that our web calendar has been sycned with BAND APP so you can find out calendar info on the Events tab.
