March 16 2020 HS Band Update

Dear Marvin Ridge Parents and Students:

Union County has decided to close schools and cancel all school-related events beginning Monday, March 16th, 2020 through Monday, March 30, 2020. I realize this closure may create a challenging situation for our band students and families; however, the county is looking out to use an abundance of caution when considering the health and welfare of our students, staff, and community.

Union County School Board will provide information and guidance regarding student instructional

the material later in the week. So, the Band Writing Project is not due until 3 days after we get back and the listening assignment is not due until Friday the week we get back.  Because of this fluid situation, Union Co Schools are only instructed in making sure that all individuals and families are safe.  Any Marching Band leadership applications will be due 4 days after we get back and new interview times will be given when we get back. Not knowing anything else as post this message, please stay safe.  Clearly, this is new territory for all of us, and I appreciate your patience and understanding.  encourage you and your families to continue to practice healthy hygiene, utilize social distancing, and avoid non-essential gatherings. If you need anything during this time period, please do not hesitate to email me or text me and I will see what I can do.
